Cyclone results in considerablerail transport restrictions

With wind speeds of up to 200 km/h, Cyclone Friederike caused severe damage to the track infrastructure in large parts of Germany on January 18, 2018. Long-distance transport was temporarily suspended throughout the country. Cyclone Friederike was the most severe storm since Kyrill 11 years ago.
